BNY Mellon to locate large service centre in Poland?

Bank of New York (BNY) Mellon, the US financial services group, is looking for a suitable location in Poland for a large data analysis centre, Slawomir Majman, President of the Polish Information and Foreign Investment Agency (PAIiIZ) revealed in Puls Biznesu. He added that the Agency and BNY Mellon have conducted “preliminary talks”.

BNY Mellon is reportedly considering three locations: Gdansk, Wroclaw and Krakow. The facility would perform a range of business processes for the US group, and would create more than 500 jobs, ranging from entry-level jobs for graduates to high-end ones. According to sources close to the project, BNY Mellon has only one facility of this type at the moment.

The US group declined to comment, as did officials at the three municipal governments. More details are expected in December.

BNY Mellon already has a service centre in Wroclaw, which employs 90 staff.
