Eifelwerk Poland, a subsidiary of the Eifelwerk Group, is to build a new factory in the Nowa Ruda subzone of the Walbrzych Special Economic Zone (WSSE). The new facility will turn out cable harnesses used in vehicle power systems. The company has obtained a licence to operate in the WSSE and has pledged to channel at least PLN 8.5m (approx. €2.1m) into the project and create 110 jobs. The investment is to be finalised by the end of 2011.
The Eifelwerk Group is a German producer of vehicle power systems, magnesium/aluminium casting, tool and mould making. It also manufactures printed circuit board and electronic components. The Polish subsidiary has already expanded its production in Nowa Ruda. Since May 2010 vehicle power system series have been made at new assembly units at the plant and 79 extra staff have been taken on during this period.
