Cognizant considering Poland for new BPO centre

Cognizant, a NASDAQ-listed provider of IT consulting and business process outsourcing (BPO) services, is eyeing Poland as the potential location for a finance & accounting centre,
Puls Biznesu has learnt. According to unofficial information, the company is looking at Warsaw, Gdansk and Poznan, although other countries are also under consideration. The planned facility would employ 200 people.
A source close to the government told the newspaper that talks were at a very early phase and final decisions should not be expected soon.
Cognizant employs over 78,000 people at more than 50 service centres. Two years ago it opened a BPO centre in Budapest.
