Italian meat maker to open large factory in Kutno
2010-03-05
Bresaole Pini, an Italian meat producer, will open a PLN 100m (approx. €25.6m) butchering plant in Kutno (Lodzkie voivodship) later this month,
Parkiet has learnt. The facility is shaping up to be the largest of its type in Poland. It is to employ about 600 people and will initially process at least 6,000 pieces of pork livestock per day.
According to Witold Choinski, president of the Polish Meat Association (ZPM), the entry of such a large player could accelerate the consolidation of the Polish meat industry, which remains highly fragmented.
Bresaole Pini already owns a similar plant in Hungary.
