Ikea goes ahead with €150m complex in Czestochowa

Ikea, the Swedish furniture retailer, is pressing forward with a project to build a €150m shopping & warehousing complex in Czestochowa, first reported (unofficially) in November. On 1 March, Czestochowa authorities unveiled a statement from Ikea announcing that it just has bought 30 hectares of land in the city and confirming the investment plans. The company is now in the process of preparing a detailed timetable for the project in Czestochowa, the release said.
The complex, to be located near the A1 (North-South) motorway, is to have an area of 120,000 m
2. Local authorities expect that it will provide about 2,000 jobs.
