PLN 18.1bn worth of EU investment grants approved for release

By 28 February, the Ministry of Regional Development has concluded 29,231 agreements with beneficiaries for EU and governmental grants available under the 2007-2013 EU budget perspective, worth a combined PLN 114.6bn (approx. €28.9bn). The value of EU aid arising from these agreements is PLN 80.8bn (€20.4bn), which represents 30.2% of the total allocation for the 2007-2013 period. The value of approved invoices – they key metric that includes EU aid, central and local government grants, and the contribution of beneficiaries – amounted to PLN 24.1bn (€6.1bn), including PLN 18.1bn (€4.6bn) in EU funds.
