Tieto adds jobs in Szczecin, Wroclaw

Tieto, a leading provider of IT services in the Scandinavia, plans to add a total of 360 new jobs at its software development centres in Poland by the end of the year, Puls Biznesu reported. Of the new jobs – for which recruitment is already underway – 160 will be created in Szczecin, where total headcount will reach 500 as a result; while 200 will be in Wroclaw.
In the words of Mieszko Mularczyk, head of Networks Research & Development at Tieto Poland, the expansion is a consequence of strong performance and higher-than-expected level of orders at the two units, which perform complex software-development projects for leading global companies from the telecommunications and automotive sectors.
Tieto is listed in Stockholm and Helsinki. The company employs more than 16,000 people in almost 30 countries worldwide. It entered Poland in 2006. The customers of the Polish units include e.g. Nokia, ST-Ericsson, Sony Ericsson, Nokia Siemens Networks and Continental.
