Fornetti to add 100 stores in Poland in 2010
2010-02-12
Fornetti, a leading Central European retailer of fresh-baked pastry products, announced plans to accelerate its expansion in Poland in the years ahead. The Hungary-based company, which is already the number one player in Poland, aims to open 100 new takeaway stores in the country by the end of the year, on top of the nearly 300 outlets that it has at the moment (including 40 own stores and 250 partner and franchise stores). The new outlets are to be located in shopping malls, DIY stores and other busy places.
Fornetti, which is present across Central and Eastern Europe and much of the Balkans (as well as e.g. Austria or Sweden), in 2005 was ranked as the third largest franchise network in Europe, behind only McDonald’s and Tecnocasa of Italy.
