World Bank lifts growth forecast for Poland

The World Bank raised its forecast for economic growth in Poland this year, its
Global Economic Prospects 2010 report released on 3 February shows.
The Bank expects the Polish economy to expand by 2.2% in 2010, up from 1.3% in its
EU10 Regular Economic Report published in October. In 2011, GDP growth is forecast to accelerate to 3.4%.
The report notes that although the worst of the financial crisis is over, the global recovery is fragile and the impact of the crisis on global growth will last for more than a decade.
