2009-12-04
The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) will maintain this year’s level of lending to Polish banks, estimated at over €400m, also in 2010, Peter Reiniger, the EBRD’s Business Group Director for
Central Europe, has revealed. The Bank’s credit lines are meant to support lending to small and medium enterprises (SME) in Poland.
The comments came as the EBRD signed an agreement with Millennium Bank for a €100m SME finance facility, the largest agreement of this type so far this year. Reiniger added that the EBRD was in talks with two other Polish banks about similar facilities worth €50-100m.
