Teva expands Debrecen plant

Teva Gyogyszergyar has expanded its Debrecen-based plant. The investment was worth HUF 5bn (€18m) and has received EU support worth HUF 460m (€1.7m), Lajos Hegedus, the CEO of the company, announced at a press conference.
Thanks to the investment, the company’s annual capacity of medicines production increased by 2 billion units to 10 billion. Teva intends to double its production volumes over the following years.
Teva is one of the biggest
pharmaceutical companies in Hungary, with three manufacturing sites in Debrecen, Godollo and Sajobabony.
