Plans and investments: Building work on Focus Park Rybnik begins

Parkridge CE Retail, the representative of leading British developer firm Parkridge Holdings, has been granted permission to carry out demolition work on the site of a future entertainment shopping centre in Rybnik town center called Focus Park. The firm expects to obtain building permission at the end of October or the beginning of November 2005. It will then begin the appropriate construction work. The total cost of the investment is estimated at €30m. The three-level entertainment-shopping centre, covering a surface area of 42,000 m?, will be built in the very centre of Rybnik. It will include the town's first multiplex cinema and more than 80 shops and service points. Focus Park is scheduled to open in Q4 2006. Parkridge Holdings is one of Great Britain's leading developer firms. It specialises in the takeover of old building complexes and transforming them into modern entertainment facilities, shopping malls and apartment blocks. They have been active in Poland since 2003. The combined value of all Parkridge CE investments expected to be built in Poland over the next few years is €500m.
