PLN 8.4bn central budget deficit at the end of January


In January 2013 the central budget showed a deficit of just over PLN 8.4bn (approx. €2bn), which represents 23.7% of the figure planned for the entire year, according to estimates from the Ministry of Finance.

State budget revenues amounted to PLN 25.9bn (€6.3bn) over this period, while expenditures totalled PLN 34.4bn (€8.3bn), which translates into 8.7% and 10.3% of the entire year’s plan, respectively.

The 2013 budget bill envisages revenues of PLN 299.4bn (€72.4bn) and expenditures of PLN 335bn (€81bn) , translating into a projected central budget deficit of PLN 35.6bn (€8.6bn).
