President signs off on 2013 budget

President Bronislaw Komorowski on 1 February signed into law the budget bill for 2013. It envisages revenues of PLN 299.4bn (approx. €71.8bn) and expenditures of PLN 335bn (€80.3bn), and a central budget deficit of just under PLN 35.6bn (€8.5bn). It is premised on GDP growth of 2.2% and average inflation of 2.7% y-o-y.
The general government deficit is projected to fall to 2.6% of GDP from 2.9% in 2012, and the general government debt to 51.4% of GDP.
