GKN Driveline invests in Dolnoslaskie

GKN Driveline, a leading global manufacturer of automotive driveline systems and solutions, has received permission for a major new investment in the Walbrzych Special Economic Zone. The company will spend at least PLN 100m (approx. €24.5m) to expand its production facility in Olesnica (Dolnoslaskie voivodship), in a project expected to create 100 new jobs, taking the total to 750.
The new plant, whose construction got underway already in the second half of 2012, will make axle ball joints and drive shafts.
GKN Driveline is the largest unit of GKN, the global engineering group, which employs approximately 44,000 people in more than 35 countries worldwide.
