Nestle in search of site for new factory

Nestle, the global food group, is in the process of selecting the location for a new manufacturing plant in Poland, Puls Biznesu reported. Slawomir Majman, president of the Polish Information and Foreign Investment Agency (PAIiIZ), confirms that the Agency is assisting Nestle in finding a suitable site. The group is reportedly targeting the Wroclaw-Kalisz-Poznan triangle in western Poland, with the Opole area also a possible choice.

A spokesperson for Nestle Polska declined to comment beyond stating that Poland was among the countries considered for the planned investment.

At present Nestle has nine factories in Poland and keeps investing in its manufacturing base in the country. In 2012 alone it spent PLN 100m (approx. €24.4m) on capacity extensions at three facilities.
