Nearly 80% of EU funds allocated after Q3

By the end of the third quarter of 2012 Poland had awarded PLN 222.2bn (approx. €54.5bn) in European Union funds from the 2007-2013 budget, which represents 78.5% of the country’s total allocation for the seven-year financial period, the Ministry of Regional Development announced.

The amount is the value of all grant agreements with beneficiaries signed by the Ministry until the end of September, of which there were 75,374. They related to projects whose total combined value is PLN 322.5bn (€79.2bn).

The beneficiaries have so far applied for the payment of PLN 119.4bn (€29.3bn) in EU grants, i.e. about 42% of the total allocation for the 2007-2013 period.
