Japanese auto parts maker invests in Podkarpackie


Tokai Rubber Industries (TRI), a Japanese manufacturer of anti-vibration and other components for the automotive industry, has received permission to operate in the Euro-Park Mielec Special Economic Zone. The company will invest €10.8m to build a factory of rubber and plastic automobile parts in Zagorz (Podkarpackie voivodship), in a project expected to bring about 200 jobs by 2015. The plant is scheduled to start operations in 2013.

Established in 1929, TRI employs over 2,800 people worldwide (over 13,500 when non-consolidated subsidiaries are included). It already has a plant in Wolbrom (Malopolskie voivodship).
