Draft 2013 budget ready to be presented to Parliament

The government on 27 September approved a final version of the 2013 budget proposal. It provides for a deficit of just under PLN 35.6bn (approx. €8.4bn), on revenues of PLN 299.4bn (€71bn) and expenditures of nearly PLN 335bn (€79.4bn).

The document foresees real GDP growth of 2.2% next year, consumption growth of 5% in nominal terms, real wage growth in the national economy of 1.9%, and an 0.2% increase in employment.

The draft bill will now be sent to the Sejm.

Under Poland's constitution, the government has until 30 September to submit a budget for the next year to the Sejm.
