Best Western on track to have 20 hotels in Poland by year-end

Best Western, the global hotel chain based on the franchise model, expects to double its Polish network to at least 20 hotels by the end of 2012, as part of five-year expansion programme that is to bring the group’s footprint in the country to 70 locations by 2016, up from 11 in late 2011, Country Sales Director Gheorghe Marian Cristescu indicated in Puls Biznesu. The comments came as Best Western signed a new partner hotel, in Gdansk’s Old Town district, in what is its sixth new signing so far this year. Most are scheduled to launch under the Best Western or Best Western Plus brands later this year.

Best Western has emerged as one of the fastest growing hotel chains in Poland, thanks to a strategy that relies in part on the signing up of existing hotels. (Most hotels in Poland are unaffiliated, independent businesses.)

The Best Western family consists of over 4,000 hotels in over 90 countries.
