French IT outsourcing group adds office in Lodz

SII, a Paris-listed IT consulting and outsourcing group, has opened a delivery office in Lodz, its sixth facility in Poland, to cater to a growing client base in the city. The company plans to hire about 40 people for the new unit by the end of 2012, including software developers, IT analysts as well as HR administration staff. At present most of the clients in the Lodz area are banks.

The new office marks a new step in a continued expansion programme that has already seen SII's Polish staff quadruple to about 1,000 during the past three years as the company grew at a rate of one office per year. SII aims to maintain this growth momentum in the years ahead and expects to hire a further 700 people in the course of this year and next, as it enlarges existing units and moves into new locations, with Lublin the most likely target for further expansion.

SII’s other Polish offices are in Gdansk, Warsaw, Wroclaw, Krakow and Poznan.
