Nuctech to expand manufacturing operations in Poland

Nuctech of China, a leading global supplier of security inspection products for customs, civil aviation and other applications, is examining candidate sites for a second manufacturing facility in Poland, Puls Biznesu reported.

The company, which in 2010 built a €25m plant in Kobylka near Warsaw that employs 30 people, is reportedly looking at a new, larger facility in the country with a workforce of 200-300, and has narrowed down the list of potential locations to three, one of which is Chelm in Lubelskie. Lublin, Krakow and an unnamed locality in Pomorskie are also said to have been on Nuctech’s radar. Nuctech’s executives were due to meet Deputy Prime Minister Waldemar Pawlak on 12 June to discuss the project.

Nuctech has more than 1,000 domestic and international patents and sells its products in over 100 countries. It has a manufacturing base in Miyun with an area of over 100,000 m2, and employs 200 people.
