US baked goods maker to build PLN 110m plant in Dolnoslaskie

Fresh Start Bakeries (FSB), a global provider of bakery products to the foodservice and retail markets, has received permission for a large manufacturing investment in the Walbrzych Special Economic Zone. The US group will invest PLN 110m (approx. €26.3m) to build a bakery complex in Strzegom (Dolnoslaskie voivodship), its seventh in Europe and second in Poland, after Warsaw. The facility will consist of two plants. The first one, with an area of 12,000 m
2, will start operations in early 2013 and will employ 65 people. The second one will create a further 50 jobs.
FSB has bakery divisions in 11 countries on five continents.
