Anheuser-Busch InBev brings its concept cafes to Poland

Anheuser-Busch InBev (ABIB), the world’s largest brewer, plans to build a network of Belgian Beer Cafes in Poland, Puls Biznesu has learnt. The first café will open later this year in one of the country’s biggest cities, ABIB’s Magda Gabryelska told the newspaper. The objective is to create a limited chain of 6 to 10 outlets so as to preserve the uniqueness of the concept, she added. ABIB will use the franchise model.

At present the only major brewer to operate its own pub chain in Poland is Heineken’s Grupa Zywiec with 94 Piwiarnie Wareckie pubs. At least 10 new locations are to be added in the course of 2012, Grupa Zywiec’s Tomasz Klujew told Puls Biznesu.

Belgian Beer Cafes are concept cafes/restaurants specialising in Belgian-inspired food and Belgian beers.
