Bydgoszcz industrial park to attract 1,000 jobs in 2012

The Bydgoszcz Industrial-Technology Park (BPPT) expects the creation of around 1,000 new jobs next year thanks to 12 investment projects worth a total of PLN 300m (approx. €67m), Lukasz Niedzwiecki, CEO of BPPT announced on 23 November.

One of the new investors is Panattoni Europe, the global property developer, which is preparing to build a large, 35,000 m2 light manufacturing and warehousing park in the BPPT. Another is PointPark, a pan-European developer of warehousing properties, which will create 120 jobs at a new facility there.

Most of the new projects are expected to come online in the fourth quarter of 2012.

The news came as the BPPT officially completed PLN 44m (€9.8m) worth of infrastructure upgrades, financed in part by the European Regional Development Fund.
