Pomeranian zone to create PLN 200m industrial park in Gdynia dockland area

The Pomeranian Special Economic Zone (PSSE) will invest PLN 200m (approx. €45.4m) to create an industrial park at the former Gdynia shipyard, PSSE chief executive Teresa Kaminska told Puls Biznesu. The zone has just received a PLN 50m (€11.3m) capital injection from the Ministry of the Treasury to help pay for the project, which means the investment programme will soon get underway. It will involve expansion and modernisation of the site’s underground infrastructure, the construction of new roads (including a road link with the motorway), and the erection of a new office building.

The park will be called the Baltic Industrial Park (BPP).

The PSSE has bought the site as part of an asset disposal programme imposed on the Stocznia Gdynia shipbuilder by the European Commission.
