Lublin zone to spend PLN 92m on key infrastructure for new sites

The government of Lublin will invest PLN 91.5m (approx. €21.3m) over the next one and a half years to expand the infrastructure of the Lublin Economic Sub-Zone (LPE), a local unit of the Euro-Park Mielec Special Economic Zone, Lublin mayor Krzysztof Zuk announced on 13 October. Nearly a third of the sum will come from EU funds.

The project will commence later this year and is due to be completed in the first quarter of 2013. It will involve the construction of almost 6 km of new roads and streets and the laying of underground infrastructure on 37 hectares of new investment sites that were incorporated into the zone last year.

The LPE was established in 2007. At present there are five companies in the zone, employing a total of 750 people.
