Lodz zone approves two new investments

Two foreign investors have received the green light for (re)investments in the Lodz Special Economic Zone (LSSE). One is Hamburger Pini, an Italian meat producer. The company will invest over PLN 60m (approx. €13.7m) to build a meat-processing plant at its facility in Kutno (Lodzkie voivodship). The project will bring at least 135 new jobs. (In 2010 Hamburger Pini opened a butchering plant there that is one of the biggest of this type in Poland.)

The other is Schwaebische Formdrehteile Babenhausen (SFB), a German maker of complex precision parts, hydraulic valves and sophisticated mechanical assemblies, which will invest minimally PLN 4m (€0.9m) to build a production plant with office facilities in Ostrzeszow (Wielkopolskie voivodship). It will make parts for the automotive sector. The project will create at least 13 jobs.
