Euler Hermes: business failures in Poland should fall in 2011, 2012

The upward trend in business failures is set to be reversed this year, and bankruptcy numbers will decline further in 2012, according to latest forecasts from Euler Hermes, the global provider of credit insurance solutions. Even so, corporate insolvencies will remain at a high level and it will take longer for the statistics to return to pre-crisis numbers.

Euler Hermes predicts that the number of business failures in Poland will fall by 10% this year compared with 2010; and that next year the number will decrease by 6%.

In the first four months of 2011 there were 208 business failures in Poland, 45% higher than in the same period of 2008.

The forecast for Poland is in line with global trends, as illustrated by the company’s Global Insolvencies Index and worldwide forecasts for 2011-2012.
