IMF upgrades Poland’s growth forecast for 2012


The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has revised slightly its forecasts of GDP growth in Poland this year and next, the Ministry of Economy announced on 11 May following the visit of an annual IMF mission to the country. The Fund now expects the Polish economy to expand by 3.7% in 2011, down from 3.8% in its latest World Economic Outlook report published last month. However, instead of a slowdown to 3.6% next year, IMF predicts the pace of economic growth to accelerate in 2012 and reach 3.9%.
