Cronimet of Germany to build second metal processing plant in Poland


Cronimet, a German metals trading and production group, announced plans to expand its scrap metal operations in Poland with the construction of a new processing and trading facility in the port of Szczecin. The plant will specialise in the processing of alloy scrap metal. It is expected to begin operations in the second half of 2012.

At present Cronimet has a plant in Inowroclaw (Kujawsko-Pomorskie voivodship) focused on trading and recycling of ferrous and non-ferrous metals.

The Cronimet group specialises in trade, production and recycling of metal alloys for the stainless steel industry. It employs 4,000 workers.
