Seasonal work to reduce unemployment rate after further rise in March

2010-03-29

Although the registered unemployment rate may rise a bit further in March, we expect it to fall thereafter as demand for seasonal work picks up. But with the economic recovery proceeding at a gradual pace, the improvement on the labour market will be correspondingly moderate. Therefore we forecast that at the end of 2010 the registered unemployment rate will be only slightly below 12.5%.
